About M Phil Clinical Psychology University of Ghana.
The Department of Psychology is part of the School of Social Sciences, University of Ghana, and one of the largest with student population within the College of Humanities. Psychology which is concerned with the scientific study of human behaviour trains students at undergraduate (BA/BSc) and postgraduate (MPhil, PhD) levels.

A psychology degree opens a wide range of career opportunities both within and outside the psychology field. Within the psychology field you can become a qualified psychologist, after postgraduate studies, leading to roles in clinical psychology, child & adolescent psychology, educational psychology, forensic psychology, health psychology, social & community psychology, industrial & organizational psychology, and other career paths. Also, a degree in psychology provides good ground for other professions including law and business administration.

Currently the Department of Psychology runs three (3) Masters Programmes:
Clinical Psychology
Industrial & Organisational Psychology
Social Psychology
We are working on introducing additional four (4) intercalated Masters Programmes namely:
Sports Psychology
Pastoral Psychology
Managerial Psychology
Forensic Psychology
Also, we are working on introducing Specialised PhD programmes in Clinical Psychology and Industrial & Organisational Psychology.
The Department of Psychology also contributes to the development and training of students in other centres within the University. We service other departments/schools including School of Nursing, Family & Consumer Studies, and the Ghana Medical School.
