The Management of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) has released the admission cut off points for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The University of Mines and Technology Cut off Points 2020 is very important in gaining admission process into the University. Candidates seeking admission into the University of Mines and Technology must meet the cutoff point before being considered for admission.

Grade Aggregate System for WASSCE and SSSCE Holders
UMaT uses the new grading system of WASSCE for the selection of candidates and in the system, grades aggregate of 36 is the minimum entry requirement of UMaT. The following table shows this new grading system and the SSSCE equivalent grades.

The minimum entry requirement is aggregate 36 for applicants with WASSCE and 24 for applicants with SSSCE.
Applicants with Ordinary and Advanced Level Certificates
Applicant must have GCE Ordinary Level Certificate or its equivalent with credits in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and GCE Advanced Level Certificate with passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
